Vamos A La Playa - Varadero

If you want a cultural experience, Varedero is not the place for you. If you want white sand beaches, all inclusive hotels and poolside bars then this definitely somewhere to visit.

Hotel - Iberostar Laguna Azul

As I said in my previous post I instantly knew I liked this hotel, or maybe it was the over tiredness and frustration from the previous hotel, which made this hotel looks amazing. Either way I liked it.

The rooms were standard size for a double, and you could fit another single in there if needed. The only thing I could possibly complain about was that the water pressure in the shower was weak. Like trickling weak. But this was something they were still yet to fix from Hurricane Irma. The best thing about the room was definitely the different swam scenarios the maid would create.

Everything in this hotel and even the beach was super clean. The main pool was awesome, hip deep (I’m 5 foot 7) and there was a bar!

The bar guy was nice but only really after we gave him a tip! And the drinks, there is only one word to describe them. STRONG. They do not have unit measurements there. But their Pina Coladas are incredible.

The Animation Team

These guys are hilarious and they made our time at the complex so much better! They weren’t too forceful but they did come up and chat to you After a day or so they become your friend. The activities they did were fun, also it is incredible how many languages these guys speak!

Food

You do not go to Cuba for the food. They don’t use seasonings and they’re main meat is pork. But the best dish we had by far was our dessert in the Japanese restaurant.

Overall, I did enjoy my time at this all inclusive, but 100% would not stay in one longer than 5 days, I did get bored after a while.

Stay safe out there.
